Congress expressed opposition to this big decision of Sonia Gandhi, said- party does not agree – The Facts

Congress has expressed strong displeasure over the Supreme Court’s decision to release the convicts of the assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Congress has also disagreed on the opinion of Sonia Gandhi. Congress held a press conference regarding the matter. In the press conference, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi has raised questions in the matter.

Singhvi said that Sonia Gandhi has the right to express her opinion. But the party does not agree with his view. They have been told this very clearly. Rajiv Gandhi’s sacrifice will not be allowed to go in vain. Singhvi said that we will use whatever options we have.

He said that attack on the former PM cannot be a common crime. The state government was supporting the culprits, due to which the court had to give such a decision. The Central Government also did not disagree with the view of the State Government.

Singhvi said that our appeal to the court is that they should not release the culprits. The attack on the former prime minister is an attack on the existence of India. No person can be released from such an offence.

The Congress leader said that our judicial system did not take care of the sentiments of the people. Congress opposes the release of such heinous criminals. There are lakhs of people in Indian jails who have not committed any crime. By ignoring them, you are releasing the criminals.
