‘Punjab CM spends more time outside the state’: Anurag Thakur
He said, “The law and order situation in Punjab has deteriorated. The Punjab Chief Minister is spending more time outside the state. We don’t know who is looking after the law and order in Punjab. What is the Punjab government and the chief minister’s situation? Will strict action be taken against those trying to break harmony and brotherhood in Punjab? AAP has to answer what ideologies they are promoting? AAP’s intention and capabilities even before elections But questions were raised. His relations with the people were also questioned. Questions are being raised because it is a matter of concern because Punjab is a border state. BJP wants development, peace and brotherhood in Punjab and is against rioters. Strict action should be taken.”

The incident took place on Friday when a pro-Khalistan outfit clashed with Shiv Sena workers, who were taking out a procession in Patiala against the spread of “anti-national” Khalistani outfits. Shiv Sena workers were pelted with stones after raising anti-Khalistan slogans. Clashes broke out outside Kali Mata temple when Shiv Sena members started ‘Khalistan Murdabad March’.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Friday chaired an important meeting of the DGP and all top officials after a fierce clash between Shiv Sena workers and pro-Khalistan groups in Patiala. CM Mann said that he has instructed the officials to start an immediate investigation into the incident. Apart from this, the Punjab CM has also directed the officials to ensure that not a single criminal is spared. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena distanced itself from the party’s state unit working president Harish Singla, who was arrested by the Punjab Police later in the day.
