Another Kashmiri Pandit murdered

After the killing of government employee Rahul Bhatt and school teacher Rajni, now terrorists have shot and killed Sunil Kumar Bhat, an apple orchardist. The incident is from South Kashmir, where terrorists shot two brothers working in an apple orchard in Shopian, in which one brother has died and the other brother has been injured, who is undergoing treatment.

Significantly, in the last few months, the number of targeted killings has increased in Kashmir. There are attacks on Kashmiri Pandits and other outsiders. However, terrorists opened fire on two brothers in Shopian on Tuesday. One died in this, while the other is injured. The injured has been admitted to the hospital. Security forces cordoned off the area and started a search for the attackers.

It is being told that both the brothers were working in the apple orchard in the Chhotepora area of ​​Shopian. During this some terrorists came there and started firing. One brother died due to bullet injuries. He has been identified as Sunil Kumar Bhatt. Sunil Bhatt has four daughters. His brother Pitambar Nath Pandit alias Pintu Kumar has also been shot and is seriously injured, he has been admitted to the hospital.

After the murder of Sunil Bhatt, one of his brothers folded his hands in front of the media and said – I am the only one left in this village, if you want me to be shot, then it is the responsibility of the government. We will go from here after performing the last rites of the brother. He said- We should be taken from here in the morning. We don’t want to stay here. The government should think about the safety of our parents and children. This incident has angered the Hindus of the state.

Kashmir Pandit Sangharsh Samiti, KPSS has appealed to Kashmiri Pandits to leave Kashmir. This organization represents non-migrant Kashmiri Pandits living in Kashmir. Sangathan President Sanjay Tikku said that the judiciary and the government have failed miserably in protecting Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir. For this reason KPSS is appealing to all Kashmiri Pandits to leave Kashmir. He said that no Kashmiri Pandit is safe in Kashmir. The only option left for Kashmiri Pandits is to leave Kashmir or be killed by religious fanatics who have got the support of the local population.
