On the victory against KKR, Captain Rahul said- ‘We are now used to playing such close matches’

Punjab vs Kolkata: In a very exciting match played yesterday in IPL 2021, Punjab Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders team by five wickets. For Punjab, captain KL Rahul played a brilliant innings of 67 runs in 55 balls with four fours and two sixes, for which he was also adjudged the player of the match. Captain KL Rahul was very happy with this victory and he said that we played today’s match in the best and smart way. He also said that we have got used to playing such close matches and we will happily keep these two points.

Chasing the target of 168 runs, Punjab Kings seemed to be moving towards victory easily. Captain Rahul got out in the last over, after which the match seemed to be stuck. When he returned to the pavilion, Punjab needed four runs in four balls to win. However, Shahrukh Khan gave the team a thrilling victory by hitting a six. After the match, Rahul said, “We are now used to playing such matches, I will happily keep these two points.”

Putting yourself under pressure in this way can become a big problem

KL Rahul said, “Today we played a great game. The wicket was good here and there was not much spin on it. I am very happy that we were able to achieve the target in the end.” On the matter of losing himself in the last over, Rahul said, “Of course I always think of finishing the match, today I got out a little earlier. We sometimes put ourselves in a situation of pressure. Somebody knows that we are a much better team than this. Putting ourselves in this kind of pressure situation is becoming a problem for us. The four matches we have played in the UAE so far show this.”

Shahrukh has done a lot of hard work

Along with this, captain Rahul also praised the young batsman Shahrukh Khan, who made the team win by hitting a six in the last over. He said, “Shah Rukh has worked very hard on his game along with the batting coaches. He has refined his game in such a way that he can score big without taking any risk. We know that he is playing big shots. He has played many flamboyant innings for Tamil Nadu in domestic matches.
