Ambedkar Jayanti 2022: The whole country is paying tribute to the creator of the Constitution of India, PM Modi paid tribute

New Delhi | Ambedkar Jayanti 2022: On the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Constitution of India, the whole country is bowing to him today. The birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna awardee Babasaheb is celebrated every year on 14 April. The Government of India has declared a national holiday today on the occasion of Babasaheb’s birthday. On this occasion all the politicians and people are paying tribute to Baba Saheb. Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar by tweeting on his birth anniversary.

Ambedkar Jayanti is also celebrated as Equality Day and Knowledge Day
Ambedkar Jayanti 2022: Dr. Ambedkar fought his whole life for the rights of the weak and backward classes. Babasaheb was the forerunner of social renaissance and the builder of egalitarian society. He wanted to empower the weak, laborers, women etc. of the society through education. That is why Ambedkar Jayanti is also celebrated as Equality Day and Knowledge Day in India.

In Uttar Pradesh, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati pays tribute to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar on his birth anniversary in Lucknow. At the same time, in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray paid tribute to Babasaheb in Dadar, Mumbai on Ambedkar Jayanti.

Chairman of the Constitution Committee
Babasaheb had formed the Labor Party and he was the chairman of the Constitution Committee. After the country got independence, he was appointed as the Law Minister. After this Babasaheb contested the country’s first general election from Bombay North seat, but he could not win. Babasaheb was elected to the Rajya Sabha twice as an MP. Babasaheb died on 6 December 1956 and in 1990 he was awarded Bharat Ratna, India’s highest honor.
