Former captain Nasir Hussain said – England bowlers were flop in the death overs of the semi-finals

T20 WC 2021: In the first semi-final of the ICC T20 World Cup (ICC T20 WC) on Wednesday, New Zealand defeated England by five wickets to enter the final. This match was very exciting and at one time it seemed as if England’s team would win, but New Zealand’s batsmen showed a stormy game and registered a historic victory. In fact, in the last overs, the bowlers of England lost their momentum and the batsmen took advantage of this and changed the course of the match. Now the statement of former captain Nasser Hussain has come to the fore regarding the performance of England.

What did former captain Nasir Hussain say?
Former England captain Nasser Hussain said that Eoin Morgan’s team has not improved its death bowling department. Its price had to be paid in the 2016 World Cup as well. Hossain said, “The way England’s death bowling cost them in the final of the last T20 World Cup, we got to see it here again on Wednesday. Failed to do well. In this semi-final everything was going well till the 17th over, but that one over from Chris Jordan turned the whole match upside down.”

Nasser felt that England suffered a loss due to the absence of fast bowler Tymal Mills in the death overs, but he could go into the top XI with David Willey. He was also not given a chance in the semi-finals. Hussain told that England gave the match completely to New Zealand in the death overs itself, but it is not fair to blame Jordan for this. However, Jimmy Neesham changed the entire course of the game in his over.

Such was the performance of England bowlers in the death overs

But Chris Jordan, Adil Rashid and Chris Woakes scored 23, 14 and 20 runs in the next three overs to turn the match in New Zealand’s favor. The result was that the Black Caps won by five wickets with one over remaining.
