Akhilesh’s alliance fails again and again!

[ad_1]

Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav contested the election for the third time in the last five years by forming an alliance and could not succeed. He fought alone in 2012 and formed the government. He forged an alliance with the Congress party in the 2017 assembly elections and then the slogan of ‘UP ke do boys’ became very popular. Then Prashant Kishor, the strategist who guaranteed to win the election, was contesting both. But the alliance did not succeed. The performance of both the SP and the Congress was disappointing. After this Akhilesh left the Congress and aligned with the arch-rival Bahujan Samaj Party before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Then the aunt-nephew alliance was very much discussed. Mulayam Singh and Mayawati’s grievances were removed and Mulayam’s daughter-in-law Dimple Yadav touched Mayawati’s feet on the stage. Akhilesh also included Rashtriya Lok Dal in this alliance by giving seats from his quota. But this time also the alliance failed. The Bahujan Samaj Party still went from zero to 10 seats but the SP remained stuck on five out of five.

This time in the 2022 assembly elections, the SP allied with other parties except BSP and Congress. Akhilesh aligned with Jayant Choudhary of Rashtriya Lok Dal and also with former BJP ally Omprakash Rajbhar’s Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party. He also aligned with Krishna Patel’s Apna Dal (Communist) and Sanjay Chauhan’s People’s Party. But this alliance also did not succeed. There has been a big increase in the vote bank of the Samajwadi Party. But it seems that the parties with whom the SP coordinates are unable to transfer votes to it.
