The state-run airline has turned into a private company as soon as it went into the hands of the Tata group last year. In such a situation, now the company has started vacating its offices in government buildings across the country. Let us tell you that Air India’s offices are in posh buildings like Safdarjung Complex along with Indira Gandhi Airport.

Office will be transferred to modern office

The airline Air India is working on a strategy to bring its workplaces across the country together. Under this, from September, those offices have started vacating which are currently being operated from government-owned properties. The company said in a statement that the offices of Air India, Air India Express and Air Asia India will operate from the modernized office complex in the National Capital Region from March next year. This is being done as part of the company’s strategy of consolidation to improve collaboration and facilitate the implementation of new technologies.

Air India employees will work from Gurugram

Air India employees are in large numbers at Airlines House, Safdarjung Complex, GSD Complex and IGI Terminal One in New Delhi. Employees working at these locations will be transferred to temporary offices in Gurugram and eventually to the newly constructed Vatika one-on-one complex in early 2023.

Air India offices will come under one roof

Campbell Wilson, Managing Director and CEO, Air India said, “Bringing multiple offices under one roof and moving from a regional structure to a centralized structure is a key milestone in Air India’s transformation journey.” Express was acquired by the Tata group on January 27 this year. Apart from these airlines, the Tata group holds a majority 51 per cent stake in Vistara and its joint ventures and 83.67 per cent in Air Asia India.
