Ahmedabad: Gift to Gautam Adani on his 60th birthday, 5,600 liters of life saving blood collected in 138 blood banks

The blood donation drive of Adani Foundation collected 14,000 units of blood, which is about 5,000 units more than the total quantity collected last year.

On the 60th birthday of Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani, a record 14,000 employees of Adani donated blood at various locations across the country. Every year, on the birthday of the Chairman, Adani Foundation organizes a voluntary blood donation campaign in line with the Adani Group’s vision of serving the nation and the countrymen in many ways. The blood donation drive of Adani Foundation collected 14,000 units of blood, which is about 5,000 units more than the total quantity collected last year. Under the campaign, blood donation centers were arranged at 152 locations in 115 cities covering 20 states of India. More than 138 blood banks were engaged in collecting the donated blood. This massive nationwide blood donation drive comes after the Adani family announced a commitment of Rs 60,000 crore to support various social causes.

The fund, administered by Adani Foundation, will be used exclusively for welfare activities related to rural areas of the country.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Preeti Adani, Chairperson, Adani Foundation said that it is heartening to see so many Adani employees coming forward to donate blood on the Chairman’s birthday. The social work that the Foundation is doing, the commitment of 60,000 crores in the field of health care, education and skill development by the Adani family, and the number of employees participating in the blood donation camps, all contribute to the social cause in line with the beliefs and expectations of the younger generation. as well as a symbol of their support for the nation-building concept of the Adani group. I feel proud and grateful for the affection our people have shown for us.

For the treatment of patients in emergency or emergency, there is no other substitute for blood. So the collected blood is safely stored and preserved by designated agencies and made available to transfusion patients in case of emergency including serious injuries, surgeries, blood disorders, cancer treatment, and other problems.
