Agneepath ruckus: Internet services suspended in many districts of Haryana

Chandigarh, Haryana government has suspended internet services except for voice calls for the next 24 hours after youths protested and created ruckus in Ballabhgarh and Palwal in Faridabad district and Mahendergarh district against the Agneepath scheme.

An official spokesman said here today that due to the new army recruitment policy, there is tension, anger or injury to persons, lives and lives caused by protesters, agitators, miscreants and anti-social elements in the area including Ballabhgarh, Palwal and Mahendergarh to ensure law and order. This decision has been taken keeping in view the danger to property and the possibility of disturbance of public peace. The government has directed all telecom service providers to ensure compliance of this order. Strict legal action will be taken against any person violating these orders.
