Dispute started after 26 March meeting
Shivpal Yadav Joining BJP: According to the information received so far, the controversy has started after the meeting of the newly elected SP MLAs on 26 March. Since Shivpal Yadav was not invited to this meeting, the distance between Shivpal Yadav and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav is increasing. Shivpal Yadav, who heads the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia), had contested the recently concluded assembly elections on the SP’s cycle symbol. He did not attend the meeting of the opposition alliance convened by Akhilesh Yadav on Monday and delayed taking oath as an MLA.
