Afghanistan’s flag has been included in the Tokyo Paralympic special message

Tokyo Paralympic 2021: The Tokyo Paralympics started on Tuesday. A grand opening ceremony was organized on Tuesday, in which a contingent of para athletes from all countries participated in the flag parade. During this, such an incident was also seen, which made everyone emotional. In fact, no athlete and representative of Afghanistan could attend the Tokyo Paralympics, but the Afghan flag was included in the opening ceremony parade. The message of solidarity and peace was given through this flag.

The extremist organization Taliban has captured Afghanistan, due to which the situation there has worsened. Officials of the National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Afghanistan could not participate in the Games due to these conditions. Zakia Khuddadi, who is the first female athlete from Afghanistan to qualify for the Paralympic Games in Taekwondo.

The non-availability of flight from Afghanistan was the main reason for these people not attending Tokyo. The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) decided to include the flag of Afghanistan to show solidarity with these athletes who could not participate in the Paralympics. The IPC invited a representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to act as the flag bearer here. IPC President Andrew Parsons said that this decision was taken to give solidarity and peace around the world.

The Tokyo Paralympic Games will be held from 24 August to 5 September 2021. This time 54 players from India are participating in this competition. All the players of the country and the world will try to win medals by participating in this competition. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed hope for a better performance by wishing the team of Indian players.
