Adani Group now forays into online travel business by buying stake in Cleartrip
Adani Buys Stake in Cleartrip Adani Group has bought a minority stake in e-commerce company Flipkart’s online travel aggregator (OTA) company Cleartrip Private Limited. The deal size has not been disclosed. But it is believed that in the month of November, the process of buying the stake will be completed. Cleartrip will also act as an OTA partner of the Adani Group.

The number of passengers traveling in Adani airports has reached the pre-corona level. On the other hand, Cleartrip has seen a ten-fold increase in airline reservations after it was acquired by the Flipkart Group. The strategic collaboration between the Adani Group and the Flipkart Group is expected to benefit these travelers. Both the companies will be able to provide many types of digital facilities to the air travelers. Cleartrip is one of the most popular travel brands in India.
Speaking on the occasion, Gautam Adani, Chairman, Adani Group said, “We have a strong relationship with Flipkart that spans multiple dimensions including data centers, fulfillment centers and now air travel. It is such a strategic partnership between domestic companies that will ultimately help in creating a self-reliant India along with local jobs. He said that the Cleartrip platform will become an essential part of the SuperApp journey launched by us.
Flipkart Group CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy said that the Flipkart Group is striving to improve the consumer experience. Cleartrip will continue to focus on providing an easy and flexible travel experience for its customers.
