Adampur by-elections a chance for all

Assembly by-elections will be held in Adampur, Haryana. When Kuldeep Bishnoi, a Congress MLA, left the Congress, he also resigned from the assembly. He has now joined BJP and will contest on BJP ticket in the by-elections. It is the traditional seat of the Bishnoi family. Kuldeep Bishnoi’s father Late Bhajan Lal has been winning elections from this seat. His family has held this seat since 1968. His father, his wife and he himself have been MLAs from this seat. This seat is with his family for the last 54 years. So, Kuldeep has to save his family stronghold. BJP also has to show with their help that despite eight years of rule, there is no anti incumbency against the party. Through this BJP can give a big message.

Congress party leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, on the other hand, is striking a different chord. Ever since the Congress high command has given back all the leaders of the state and given the entire command in their hands, since then they are searching for an opportunity to prove themselves. Because of Kuldeep Bishnoi, Congress candidate Ajay Maken has to avenge the defeat in the Rajya Sabha elections and he also challenged Kuldeep. Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal had held a rally in Adampur recently and said that this seat can prove to be the gateway of the state for AAP. That is, from the by-election of this seat, he has to get his party admitted in Haryana. The toughest is for Jannayak Janata Party leader Dushyant Chautala. This assembly seat comes under Hisar Lok Sabha, from where Dushyant has been an MP and lost the last election to BJP’s Brajendra Singh. Now he is the Deputy Chief Minister in the BJP government. He may have to give up this seat bearing his family.
