AB de Villiers Retirement: South African batsman AB de Villiers has said goodbye to all types of cricket formats. He will no longer be seen in franchise cricket leagues like IPL. He had retired from international cricket in 2018 itself. De Villiers has expressed his decision through an emotional tweet.
De Villiers wrote, “My journey has been wonderful, but now I have decided to retire completely from cricket. From playing cricket with my elder brothers behind the house till now, I have played this game with a lot of fun and energy. Now at the age of 37, that fire is not burning so fast.
It has been an incredible journey, but I have decided to retire from all cricket.
Ever since the back yard matches with my older brothers, I have played the game with pure enjoyment and unbridled enthusiasm. Now, at the age of 37, that flame no longer burns so brightly. pic.twitter.com/W1Z41wFeli
