Maoists set fire to 10 vehicles in a dispute over ransom

Latehar. Maoists set ablaze 10 vehicles used in the construction of roads and bridges in Jharkhand’s Latehar district. The police gave this information on Sunday. According to the police, a total of eight vehicles, including tankers and vehicles used for excavation work of a construction company, were torched by Maoists at Baskarcha under Mahuadand police station area of ​​the district on Saturday night. According to the police, these vehicles were being used for the construction of roads. Police said that shortly after this, two more vehicles, including a mixer machine, were set ablaze in Potmadih area, which was being used for the construction of the bridge.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kujur said, the Maoists have issued a pamphlet claiming responsibility for the incident. These vehicles were set on fire due to a dispute over ransom. The Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) said that the police are conducting raids to nab the accused Maoists.
