86 runs in 5 innings… Pant increased his difficulty, this wicketkeeper is ready to take the place

Rishabh Pant Poor Form Continues: Team India’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant’s poor form continues. He was dismissed for 27 runs in the first innings of the third match of the Test series against South Africa. It’s been a long time since runs came off Pant’s bat. Pant has scored 8,34,17,0 and 27 in the last five innings. During this, a total of 86 runs have come off his bat. In view of his performance, the demand to drop him from the teams has also intensified. However, it depends on the selectors whether they give more chances to Pant or include a new wicketkeeper in the team. If Pant is shown the way out, there are many wicketkeepers to replace him.

Let’s take a look at those potential contenders

Sanju Samson- 27-year-old Sanju Samson has got less chance at the international level. He has played only one ODI so far and has played 10 T20 matches. Samson is still waiting to play Test cricket. Sanju Samson played his last international match in July 2021. Sanju Samson is young and he is also the captain of Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League. However, Sanju Samson’s performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy was not special. Sanju is known for his aggressive batting. He can also be a good substitute for Pant.

Ishaan Kishan- This young wicket-keeper batsman from Jharkhand has been the captain of the Under-19 team. He is one of the major contenders for the wicketkeeping spot in the Indian team. His performance with both bat and gloves has been excellent so far. 23-year-old Ishan Kishan has played 2 ODIs and 5 T20 matches for the Indian team. He has scored 60 runs in ODIs and 113 runs in T20Is.

KS Bharat- Bharat has gained a lot of popularity in domestic cricket with his many brilliant innings. In domestic cricket, he plays from Andhra Pradesh. He came into limelight after scoring a triple century in a Ranji Trophy match in February 2015. KS Bharat has played in IPL from Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has scored 191 runs in 7 innings of 8 matches at an average of 38.2. Bharat made his debut in IPL only last year.
