8 laborers killed in truck overturning

Purnia. Eight laborers were killed, while eight other laborers are said to be seriously injured when an uncontrolled truck overturned on the side of the road in Bihar’s Purnia in the early hours of Monday. It is being told that the truck was going from Siliguri to Jammu. A police officer said that a truck laden with pipes, which was going from Siliguri to Jammu (Jammu), was uncontrolled near Jhajha Chowk, ahead of Seema Kali Mandir of Jalalgarh police station. It overturned in a big pothole on the side of the road.

16 laborers were sitting on this truck. In this incident, eight laborers died on the spot, while eight laborers were injured. Purnia (Sadar) Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) SK Saroj said that after getting information about the incident, the local police also reached for relief and rescue. All the people killed in the accident are said to be residents of Rajasthan. He said that all the injured laborers have been admitted to the local hospital for treatment. After the incident, the truck driver and co-driver have been detained, who are being questioned.
