570 raids on anti BJP in seven years, 85 raids were conducted by the opposition in UPA-2

Raid against political opponents of BJP in Bengal and Tamil Nadu just before assembly elections. At the same time, raids were conducted against the opponents of BJP in the midst of political crisis in Karnataka and Rajasthan.

In the midst of election preparations in Uttar Pradesh, recently, income tax raids were conducted on the close relatives of Akhilesh Yadav. The names of those who were raided are- SP spokesperson and National Secretary Rajiv Rai, contractor Jagat Singh, businessman Rahul Bhasin. Apart from this, the Income Tax Department also raided the places of Akhilesh Yadav’s OSD, Jainendra and Manoj Yadav.

In 2014, a total of 570 raids were conducted on the opponents of BJP since the Modi government came to power at the Centre. Of these, 400 raids were executed on political opponents, while the rest on other critics. Meaning people who are either helpful to the opponents of BJP, or openly criticize BJP.

Since 2014, if we talk about the alliance partners of BJP, then till now a total of 39 raids have been done against them.

Now if we talk about the figure of raids killed during the tenure of UPA-2, during this a total of 85 raids were killed on political opponents.

Means total from 2014 till now, a total of 570 during the tenure of BJP and 85 during the tenure of UPA-2. According to this, 340 percent more raids were killed on the opposition in Modi Raj.

If we look at the same figure year-wise, then during the tenure of UPA-2, about 17 raids were killed every year on the opposition, whereas in the NDA’s tenure from 2014 till now, about 75 raids were killed on the opposition every year.

Since 2014, a total of 75 raids were conducted against Congress leaders during NDA rule.

Similarly, 36 raids were conducted against TMC leaders. There were 18 raids against Aam Aadmi Party leaders and 12 against PDP leaders. 8 against NCP, 11 against DMK, 12 against TDP, 14 against National Conference, 8 against RJD, 7 against BSP and 6 against JD(S) were raided. There are many other smaller parties, against whom one raid was conducted. Apart from this, journalists, movie stars, activists also came under the scanner.

Now let’s talk about the timing of Raid

Four days before the 2021 elections in Tamil Nadu, a tax raid was conducted against MK Stalin’s daughter and her son-in-law. Apart from this, many leaders were raided.

Similarly, just before the 2021 Bengal elections and in the middle of the election, about 14 TMC leaders were raided.

In 2020, when Sachin Pilot revolted in the Rajasthan Congress, at the same time there was a raid against 6 Congress leaders. The leaders who were raided include Ashok Gehlot’s son, brother and OSD.

In 2019, when the political crisis was going on in Karnataka, there were also raids against 14 JD(S) and Congress leaders.

Raid was killed in Gujarat even before the Rajya Sabha elections. Tax raids were conducted at a resort in Karnataka where 42 Congress MLAs were staying.

Now there are elections in UP, so raids are being killed there too.
