According to these figures, when compared with the UPA-2 government, it is found that 340 percent more raids have been done on opponents under BJP rule. If we look at the data, it also shows that during the elections or whenever there was a situation of rebellion in the opposition party, then suddenly the number of raids also increased. Let’s first take a look at the stats NDTV 24×7 has to offer:
In 2014, a total of 570 raids were conducted on the opponents of BJP since the Modi government came to power at the Centre. Of these, 400 raids were executed on political opponents, while the rest on other critics. Meaning people who are either helpful to the opponents of BJP, or openly criticize BJP.
Since 2014, if we talk about the alliance partners of BJP, then till now a total of 39 raids have been done against them.
Now if we talk about the figure of raids killed during the tenure of UPA-2, during this a total of 85 raids were killed on political opponents.
Means total from 2014 till now, a total of 570 during the tenure of BJP and 85 during the tenure of UPA-2. According to this, 340 percent more raids were killed on the opposition in Modi Raj.
If we look at the same figure year-wise, then during the tenure of UPA-2, about 17 raids were killed every year on the opposition, whereas in the NDA’s tenure from 2014 till now, about 75 raids were killed on the opposition every year.
Since 2014, a total of 75 raids were conducted against Congress leaders during NDA rule.
