E-Shram Scheme: The Labor Ministry of the country has informed that 23 crore unorganized sector workers have joined the E-Shram Scheme being run by the government. In this way, 23 crore workers have got their registration done on the e-shram portal under the scheme.
What happens after registering?
After registration, workers and laborers will be given a Universal Number (UAN) and after that they will not need to register anywhere else. Through this number, they also get the facility of e-shram card and such workers and workers can take advantage of the government schemes being run across the country.
what is the scheme
Workers who register on the Ishram portal will get the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana. The workers of Prime Minister Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana will be able to take it. Under the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, on the death of a registered worker, the family will get Rs 2 lakh, while in case of complete disability, the worker will get Rs 2 lakh. Partially handicapped will get Rs 1 lakh. A complete record of the workers who have registered on the portal will be kept.
How to do online registration
You have to login by visiting the official website of e-shram at eshram.gov.in.
Click on Register on eSHRAM link available on the home page.
Aadhar linked mobile number and captcha code has to be filled.
After this click on send OTP and get OTP on your phone.
Follow the instructions after to complete the registration process.
What to do for those who do not have aadhar linked mobile number
If a worker does not have a mobile number linked to Aadhaar, then he can complete the process of getting himself registered by visiting the nearest Common Service Center (CSC). Registration can be done through biometric authentication by visiting CSC.
