11 child prisoners escaped from the correctional home

Purnia. In Bihar’s Purnia district, 11 child prisoners escaped after taking a guard hostage in the Juvenile Home in Purnia district, out of which nine were later recovered.

Police sources said here today that 11 child prisoners escaped by taking the guard hostage in the early hours of Wednesday. The escaped child prisoners belonged to Purnia and Katihar districts. A Sanha has been registered in this regard at K.Hat police station. Although nine child prisoners were recovered in eight hours of continuous raids, two child prisoners are still absconding. The absconding child prisoner is accused of heinous crimes like murder and robbery.

On the other hand, on the information of the incident, the Child Protection Officer Neeraj Nirala reached the spot and investigated. He told that around 4.30 in the morning, 12 children attacked the guard Rajesh Kumar by placing a sheet on him. After taking hostage and climbing the wall, 11 children escaped by jumping behind the pole garden. However, one child could not run away.
