101 new cases of dengue in Delhi

New Delhi. More than 100 people have been found infected with dengue in the last one week in Delhi. With this the number of mosquito-borne disease cases in the city has reached close to 400 so far this year. According to the Municipal Corporation, this month alone till September 17, 152 cases of dengue have been reported. The city had recorded 295 dengue cases till September 9.

According to municipal data, out of 396 cases reported till September 17 this year, 75 cases were registered in August. However, no patient has died due to this disease so far this year.

Dengue cases usually occur between July and November and sometimes even till December. Municipal officials said dengue cases were registered earlier this year due to favorable weather conditions for breeding of mosquitoes. (Language)
