Chinese spy ship reaches Sri Lanka

Colombo, China’s spy ship Ship Yuan Wang-5 reached the Hambantota port of Sri Lanka on Tuesday morning. The ship will be there from 16 to 22 August. It is being told that this ship can easily monitor up to seven and a half hundred kilometers away. For this reason, India had objected to it and after that Sri Lanka had also refused China. Despite this, Sri Lanka had to change the decision under pressure from China.

This Chinese spy ship is capable of monitoring and detecting satellite and intercontinental missiles. The Chinese ship was earlier expected to reach Hambantota on August 11. In view of the threat of espionage, India had lodged a protest with Sri Lanka regarding this. Actually the distance from Hambantota port to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu is about four and a half hundred kilometers. Despite this Sri Lanka allowed it to come to Hambantota port.

It is being told that India is alert about this. The Indian Navy is keeping an eye on this spy ship. Sri Lanka has confirmed that it has asked China to suspend the ship’s visit to Hambantota Port. After this, the Chinese Embassy requested the Sri Lankan government to provide necessary help to stop the ship there. On 12 August, the Chinese Embassy sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka, which was approved by Sri Lanka. At the same time, China had also said about India that it should not put pressure on Sri Lanka.

The ship has a crew of four hundred members. It is equipped with a variety of modern spy equipment. From Hambantota port, this ship will have access to major military and nuclear bases of South India like Kalpakkam, Kudankulam. Along with this, many ports of Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh will also be on the radar of China. It is believed that China has sent this ship to Sri Lanka only for spying on India’s main naval base and nuclear plants.
